Empire State Building at Sunset – New York City Background
The lighting on the building looks great. The sun is setting right behind the skyline, which makes the clouds look heavily textured with those dark purples and bright oranges. Because the sun is low, all the smaller buildings down at the street level are almost pitch black, but the lights from the Empire State Building itself are glowing bright yellow.
This setup is really practical for a phone. The very top of the sky fades into a dark, almost black color, so the time on your lock screen will be easy to read. Down at the bottom, those dark, shadowed buildings create a solid space where your apps can sit without looking messy or blending into the background.
